Okie DokieI haven't read all of the books in this series, but I have read the first one, so maybe someone else who read the others can comment with how it progresses after the first one...speaking of which: Written by Richelle Mead Book OneSt. Vladimir's Academy isn't just any boarding school â it's a hidden place where vampires are educated in the ways of magic and half-human teens train to protect them. Rose Hathaway is a Dhampir, a bodyguard for her best friend Lissa, a Moroi Vampire Princess. They've been on the run, but now they're being dragged back to St. Vladimir's â the very place where they're most in danger... Rose and Lissa become enmeshed in forbidden romance, the Academy's ruthless social scene, and unspeakable night-time rituals. But they must be careful lest the Strigoi â the world's fiercest and most dangerous vampires â make Lissa one of them forever. ****** I did like this story, though I wasn't overly fussed with it's "age" difference, but I obviously lived thorugh that And I'm not a twat- I know vampires are ancient- like, hello, my vampires are at least 100 years older than my human characters,- so that's a given, but it just felt... strange in this story. I still loved it and I would recommend it to anybody who read vampire novels.
